We are thrilled to champion and support local artist Selina Javaid who has caught our eye with her mesmerising collection of paintings.

Selina is a freelance artist and educator based in North London with mixed Austrian and Indian heritage. Her lifelong interest in belonging and sense of place has led her to investigate themes around otherness and identity using different paint mediums.

​

The paintings currently on display at  Agha are taken from her Home and Sea Stories series. They were created during this unsettling "Covid era",

which supported her mental well-being as she felt peaceful escapism, voyaging to childhood memories of home or holidays by the sea. 

​

Selina is a strong advocate of art therapy and runs art classes,

workshops and courses in her home studio just around the corner.
